A Christmas Cracker

Pre-school is well on its way to reaching our fundraising targets following a hugely successful Christmas shopping evening held at Winford Village Hall in November 2009.
The event was skilfully organised by the fund raisers of this years committee, who did a brilliant job drumming up local support.
Shoppers were greeted with festive mulled wine and mince pies at the door, and could then browse at their leisure the many stalls selling a wonderful selection of local homemade crafts, jewellery, cakes (made by the pre-school mums), children’s books, cards, decorations and unusual gifts and stocking fillers. Some also indulged in a quick beauty treatment.
The evening raised £940 for the pre-school, and the committee would like to thank local businesses for their support, especially for the generous raffle donations, and a big thank you to all those who turned up on the night.
